Chiropodist | Podiatrist
- BSc (Hons) Podiatry
Self-employed chiropodist/podiatrist at NIHP Durham
Having graduated in 1999, I worked for the next few years in the NHS in Hartlepool and then South Tyneside. During this time I developed my interest in biomechanics and diabetic care. After taking a break to raise my family, I moved into private practice chiropodist. This has allowed me to continue to develop as a practitioner and to add on new skills such as nail reconstruction which would not be provided under the NHS.
All chiropodists/podiatrists are required to maintain a high standard of knowledge and I attend many courses to keep up to date with new developments within my profession. I treat patients in an holistic way, addressing any vascular, neurological or mechanical concerns that may be present. Ultimately, my aim is to improve comfort and mobility.
