Personal Profile

Self-employed Osteopathic Therapist at NIHP Durham

After spending years growing up with a strong interest in a variety of sports and dance styles to keep healthy, Amanda decided to train as an Osteopath and share this experience with patients who need help in keeping fit, active and pain free.

Amanda graduated from the British College of Osteopathic Medicine (BCOM) where she studied for 4 years to achieve her Masters in Osteopathy, Diploma in Osteopathy and Diploma in Naturopathy. Amanda worked as an associate at an osteopathic clinic in Cardiff just after graduating in 2012, and now runs her own private clinic in Jesmond. We are very lucky to have her knowledge and experience available to us here in Sacriston.

Now a mother to 2 gorgeous children, Amanda has gained first hand experience and knowledge of back pain and other pregnancy related issues.

Amanda told us; “I have new found respect for women and all we go through to bring life into this world. What I did find was that there wasn’t enough care towards managing back pain whilst pregnant, even though it’s very common. Using my years of experience treating back pain, joint pain and muscle pain, I am able to help pregnant women self-manage some of their pregnancy related pain.”
