Description

Practitioner Assessment Skills Course
The 3 day Practitioner Assessment Skills Course (PASC) has been specifically designed for the serious structural practitioner to enhance assessment and treatment options. Developed from the experience of thousands of clinical hours, contact with Bowen's original students and also as a remedial massage therapist, this course is the first to incorporating orthopaedic, fascial, kinesiological and common sense assessment techniques.

This course will provide the participant with range assessment and validation skills to enhance their bodywork practice. Open to all practitioners of bodywork, particularly relevant to Bowen, the course will cover pre and post treatment assessments. Students will be given the time to treat using the treatment style of choice, validating the outcome of their treatment.

What you will learn

  1. Easy to use and apply assessment skills to quickly identify the most common pathologies. These will cover a broad range of areas as covered by most Bowen schools. E.g. lower back, shoulders, ankles, knees, elbow/wrists.
  2. Confidence building approaches to ensure that your techniques are reliable, stable and re-produceable.
  3. An opportunity to test out your techniques in a classroom environment

Includes 50 page colour manual covering the techniques used.

Your instructor: Ron Phelan

Ron PhelanRon Phelan has been a Remedial massage therapist for 17 years and Bowen practitioner for twelve years, practising in and around the Geelong region. Having trained under three of Bowen's original students, including 18 months clinical experience with one of them. He has also experienced the technique from four of these students, noting both the obvious and subtle variations. This combined with thousands of hours of practical experience has brought together the most comprehensive collection of Bowen variations and assessment styles from those closest to Bowen. This combined with orthopaedic and kinesiology techniques, creates a broad and comprehensive array of assessment tools for the astute bodywork therapist.
