Durham Regatta 2010

Saturday 12th & Sunday 13th June 2010

Often referred to as the 'Henley of the North', Durham Regatta is one of the premier events in the northern racing calendar. Racing takes place over 750 metres with the elite men's and women's fours events being competed over 1800 metres. This 1800 metre course requires that crews negotiate the historic Elvet Bridge at full race pace.

This year was the 177th regatta with over 600 crews competing over the weekend. Durham University regained title for the Blue Riband event Grand Challenge Cup for Elite Coxed Fours in an all Durham final.

The NIHP team were on hand to provide massage and physiotherapy to racing crews, teachers and the general public. A great time was had by all and here's a few photos to give you a taster of the weekend...
