Health Kinesiology

Health Kinesiology at the Northern Integrative Health Practice in Sacriston, Durham is an effective and practical method which addresses physiological and psychological imbalance, and can help with many issues including:

  • sleep problems
  • pain and discomfortHealth Kinesiology
  • anxiety
  • headaches
  • skin conditions
  • phobias
  • painful memories
  • work stresses
  • foods
  • lack of solitude
  • environmental factors

Using muscle testing and asking well framed questions the practitioner communicates directly with the body. This language beyond words allows the body to ‘say’ where old stresses still remain and which current stressors are affecting energy flow. Once these issues are discovered, addressed and/or released the client may suddenly feel ‘free’ – some say it is as if there is a space where the stress used to be. Improvements may be experienced immediately or soon after the work is completed.

As we reduce the level of stress the body begins to function as it is designed to do - biochemical reactions are efficient, foods are absorbed correctly, sleep renews and exercise revives - all of which are important factors in long term health, including:

  • improved relationships
  • clear skin
  • lots of energy
  • quiet mind
  • clear vision...

Health Kinesiology ConsultationConsultations
Several sessions may be indicated and may be carried out in person and/or over the telephone. Clinic sessions at the NIHP Sacriston Practice last an hour.

Clients remain fully clothed and may like to be seated and/or recline on the therapy couch during the session. You may wish to recount past events or focus on the present. I will be guided by you to the issues and areas which challenge you most.

What is my role in the consultation?
• To listen
I hear the nuances and notice which areas of your life you habitually avoid or focus on repetitively. I can ‘feel’, via the communication taking place beyond the words, where you are ready to go and know instinctively when and how to bring you back to that path if you wander.

• To stay focused
When your subconscious plays safe and takes you off at a tangent I gently but firmly bring you back to the tricky issues. Much of the time you are not conscious of this happening and the process feels natural and safe.

• To be truthful
I am not here to massage your ego but to help you to appreciate how wonderfully well equipped you are to have a healthy and happy life. It is your self-belief that is the key.

• To be skilled
I use the most appropriate techniques to correct misaligned energy and facilitate healthy energy flow. Health Kinesiology and Energy Psychology form the basis of my approach. I have the appropriate training and a wealth of relevant experience to call upon. I am delighted to work with you as you are helping me in my life-long process of learning. My skills and sensitivity develop and grow with every session shared.

• To know when to stop
I rely on you as the guide at all times and we only do what you are ready for.

The consultation may seem very simple and we get straight to the point. One session may be enough for the time being and you go away with renewed confidence in your own ability to face your unique challenges. Sometimes the way seems meandering and a series of sessions is indicated. Your ‘body/mind’ may begin to make friends of troublesome symptoms and allow them to lead you to the core of the dis-ease you feel.

Sometimes we talk a lot and at others we are quiet. The way we work together depends on the healing priorities chosen by your own system at every moment.
